Easy and Quick Christmas decoration

Need a quick Christmas decoration for your gathering? All you need us a clean canning jar(any size), greenery(I used lavender and safe from my herb garden outside),cranberries,a floating candle and water. Add your greenery to the clean mason jar, then a handful of cranberries add your water and floating candle. Your guests will think you are Martha Stewart!!!!

Gift Card Holder

Here is another last minute, quick gift card holder you may need on Christmas Day! I started with a piece of Real Red card stock and ran it through the big shot using the Petite Pocket Die(retired). I snipped the inside edge just a bit so it folded nice, added sticky strip to the inside edge and gently fold it done to create the pocket. The gift card will fit snugly in the holder. I then did a little punch art with my punches(some retired) to make this Santa. On his hat I sponged with the silver ink in the holiday catalog. Pop him up with dimensionals and add a little real red ribbon!

Gift Bag

Need some nice ideas to wrap your gifts but don't want to use wrapping paper?? Just embellish a white/with white handled paper bag!! I used DSP, the Gift Bow Die with card stock and ran it through the bog shot using an embossing folder. I added a tag using the Christmas Collectibles stamp set and ornament punch then my final touch was the large basic pearls in the middle of the bow!

Money Card Holder

Did you need a quick last minute money card holder?? I did! With the inspiration from Angie Juda, I made some special ones for my nephews and one for my brother in law to tuck his gift into. You need a piece of card stock cut at 8 3/4" x 7". Score at 3" and 6". Fold. On the smaller side that gets folded inside, use your 1 1/4" circle punch half way in to make a half circle(it is the spot where you can take the money out). Stamp your greeting inside. Add sticky strip to both inside pieces. Cut a piece of DSP 6 1/4" x 2 2/3" for the outside. Stamp an ornament and punch it out with the ornament punch, poke a hole in it and thread some lined thread through it. Add your ribbon on the outside and wrap the ornament to it.....and there you have a simple yet beautiful money card holder!

Glitter Ornaments

Here is another teacher gift that you can make. My kids made them for their teachers and teacher aides in their classrooms. You need plastic or glass clear bulbs( you can by them at Wall-Mart or any craft store), fine glitter, liquid hairspray and ribbon. Fist open the top of the ornament, add the liquid hairspray and swish it around and coat it completely on the inside, then place it upside down in a glass to let the hairspray flow out and when it has stopped dripping out, pour in a bunch of the fine glitter, add the top of the bulb and shake until the entire inside is coated with the glitter. Add your ribbon as an embellishment and you have cute ornaments to put on your tree of give as a gift! Thanks for stopping in.

Pom Pom Ornaments

Today's post is a cute one made by my son, Nicholas! He had a great time making this one....first you get some round styrofoam balls, straight pins, pom poms(any color and size) and a piece of ribbon. All you need to do is stick the straight pin into the center of the pom pom and stick them into the ball. Loop the piece of ribbon and add using a straight pin, cover the entire ball with the pom poms and hang on the tree. You can make one using all one color pom poms or vary your colors. These would even make a great last minute teacher gift!! Thanks for stopping in.

Joy to the World card

Here is a pretty Christmas cards for those if you who don't have your cards done but want a quick and easy card. It its made with Very Vanilla cardstock, Soft Suede csrdstock, he label frameless die, the Best if Christmas stamp set, Joy to the World stamp set, many marvelous markers, dazzling diamonds glitter and basic jewels. Our Christmas Tree!

 We went out to Thompson's Tree Farm in Salem and have been going there for 6 years now, WOW! So, here is the tree that Nick wanted........

 So, Kathryn tried to cut it herself, well, with a little help from Daddy........

And there it is! What a beauty! Now to get it in the car and home to decorate!

Here are my 2 cuties in front of the decorated tree! Boy are they excited for 2 weeks off of school soon AND Christmas!

My craft kitty, Chloe! 

What a beautiful kitty. We have had her for a year and a half. She wandered right up on our front porch one day, I made a "kitty bed" for her on the porch just hoping she would find her way home and here we are, I guess she found her home!She is a little shy towards others but loves me and loves to sit with me in my craft room.

Mini Coffee Cups

This is my version of the mini coffee cups that have become so popular. The idea came from Deb Valder......what a talented lady! You can give them away as teacher gifts, pick me ups or to that special friend and you can fill them with whatever your hearts desire.  I filled mine with a K-cup, how cute!
