For the Birds

Do you need a quick card to just say that you are thinking of someone?? Well, this is your kind of card..quick!
I started out with card stock in the color of choice(the above is in Raspberry Ripple and this one in Primrose Petals). Then I added my second layer of whisper white, stamped my image in the bottom corner with stazon ink using the For the Birds stamp set(there are so many cute images in this set). Colored in my image using blender pens and markers. Added my coordinating ribbon and there you have it...simple, cute and quick! Thanks for stopping in.

Clear Blocks

Are you having a problem keeping your clear stamp sets on the acrylic blocks?? I know sometimes I do. I have followed what other demonstrators have said to do by spraying the Stampin' Mist Cleaner right on the block, well, sometimes it works. Then I thought I had to "wash" the blocks in the sink with warm water and so on. I feel so bad that I have told all my customers to do the things that I was told to do. Well, I recently was surfing around on Pinterest and I found one Demonstrator(I am so sorry, I forgot who it was so I cannot give credit to them) but, they said to use Windex or Glass Cleaner. Well, what a difference!!! This is what you do...........
First get yourself a spray bottle. You can find one at your local Dollar Store(unfortunately, ours is going out of business). Fill it with glass cleaner or Windex(be sure to label it so you know what is in the bottle in your craft room).
Then, all you have to do is spray the block or even spray the Stampin' Up! Clear Block Cleaning Cloth #121779. If you don't have one, I would suggest you get one..it is a must have! As you can see, the stamp sticks right to the block!! No more fussing!! I wish I new this before, but, I will be sure to inform all my friends and fellow stampers!
Thanks for stopping in.

Sympathy and Prayers

I don't make too many of these kinds of cards and unfortunately I had to make a few recently when my brother-in-law's father passed away. I tried to make it simple but elegant. I used a whisper white base, cut out my shape using our Framelitts Apothecary Accents Die. Then on scrap I stamped my flowers using the Flower Shop stamp set in Crisp Cantaloupe ink and punched them out with my Pansy Punch(be sure to line them up correctly to get the image punched out) added dimensionals and Basic Pearls. I stamped my greeting with the Petite Pairs stamp set in Baked Brown Sugar ink. Don't forget to stamp your name on the back with our Personalized Name Stamps from the Idea Catalog! So, there you have it, simple but elegant. Thanks for stopping in.

Happy Watercolor with Butterflies

It is snowing here today, what better way to "Think Spring" than some beautiful spring colors and butterflies??! I started out with a Soft Sky base added a layer of Whisper White. I used my Happy Watercolor stamp set(I just love this new set form our Occasions Catalog) watermark in Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe, Daffodil Delight, Pistachio Pudding and Soft Sky inks. Then I used those same colors and punched out a butterfly using the Bitty Butterfly punch, popped them up with a dimensional,  added a candy dot and my words from the same stamp set. You can even change your words for Happy Birthday, So Sorry, etc. I hope you like it....thanks for stopping in.
